Text messages: how you opt in
Program: TruePointSupport Call Alerts and Appointment Texts. Updated October 16, 2026.
TruePointSupport never sends a text message to a number that did not agree first. There are two ways to agree, shown below word for word. Nobody is required to agree to buy or receive any service.
1. Business owners and staff: call alerts
During onboarding, the business owner completes the TruePointSupport setup form and enters the mobile number that should receive call alerts. This is the consent box that appears under the number field. It starts unchecked, and no alert is sent until it is checked.
The completed form, the date and the number are kept on file as the record of consent.
2. Callers: call-back and appointment texts
A caller contacts TruePointSupport first, by calling our business number. During the call, our AI receptionist asks:
"Would you like to receive text messages from TruePointSupport about your call-back and appointments at this number? Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to cancel."
A text is sent only if the caller clearly says yes. The consent, with date, time and number, is recorded in the call log. Callers who do not agree never receive a text.
